The Black Raven Marketplace Annex IX Classroom is more than a classroom—it’s a creative space for the curious, the crafty, and those who prefer their hobbies with a little darkness.
Our classes are designed to introduce you to new skills, creative techniques, and wonderfully unconventional crafts. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to build on skills you already have, our instructors create hands-on experiences where you’ll learn, create, and leave with something uniquely yours.

The classes shared here are just a sampling of the creative experiences we’ll be offering in the Annex IX Classroom. Our class schedule will change monthly, bringing you new instructors, new crafts, and new opportunities to learn.
In addition to hands-on classes, we’ll also be adding special events, lectures, demonstrations, and unique educational experiences to our calendar each month.

Create beautifully creepy statement pieces using jewels, embellishments, and unexpected materials.
⛓️ Chain Mail
Learn the fundamentals of chain-mail construction and create wearable or decorative pieces.
🦴 Taxidermy & Natural Curiosities
Explore preservation, display, and the fascinating world of natural curiosities.
🗝️ Cabinets of Curiosities
Learn how to curate and create miniature collections filled with oddities, treasures, specimens, and found objects.
🧵 Sewing — Multiple Skill Levels
From beginner fundamentals to more advanced techniques, develop your sewing skills at your own pace.
🏺 Clay Making & Sculpting
Work with clay while learning techniques for creating unique sculptures, decorative pieces, and art.
🧪 Potion Making
Create imaginative potion bottles and mystical-looking concoctions while learning creative techniques for presentation and design.
🕯️ Candle Making
Learn the fundamentals of candle creation, including wax, fragrance, vessels, color, and decorative techniques.

Our current class offerings, dates, fees, special events, lectures, demonstrations, and registration information will be announced regularly on the Black Raven Marketplace Instagram.
Because each class is hosted by an independent instructor, registration takes place directly with the teacher offering the course. Their email and contact information will be included with each class announcement, allowing you to communicate directly with your instructor, ask questions, and complete your registration. Each instructor will have their own payment and refund policy.
